During a traditional massage, where the masseuse stimulates the skin through various forms of touch, the client feels completely at ease. Yet, how does the masseuse feel? Sure, maybe she seems fine during her first set of massages, but as her workday continues, she may feel aches throughout her hands and fingers. And, if nothing is done to protect her hands, she may experience worse problems, such as carpal tunnel syndrome or even arthritis.
Now, some masseuses believe that one can avoid these issues by using the right technique. However, even if massages are done perfectly, there’s always going to be some risk because the hands are in constant use. So, if one wants to truly prevent injury, they must give their hands a break every now and then.
Yet, how can a masseuse give their hands a break if that’s the main tool used for their massages? The answer is simple… use something else in their place. And this ‘something else’ doesn’t have to be some technologically advanced massaging instrument. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be man-made. Why? Because nature has already given mankind the perfect massaging alternative… the massage rock.
Confused? Well, if you think that massages can only be done by hand, you might be. But in reality, massage rocks are actually better than a person’s hands. Not only are they smoother, but they can also retain heat or cold. This gives the masseuse the ability to give a hot or a cold massage… something that feels even more pleasant to her client.
But even more importantly, massage rocks help protect the health of a masseuse’s hands. True, even with massage rocks she will still need to use her hands, but the amount of work is decreased significantly. As a result, there’s less opportunity for stress injury.
In conclusion, by using massage stones, masseuses can preserve their own well-being while helping someone else’s. Hands alone will never offer such a combination.
